Neocaridina davidi is the most popular freshwater shrimp in the aquarium hobby, bred in numerous color variants from wild brown to vivid red (Sakura, Fire Red, Painted Fire Red). Extremely hardy and easy to breed, they are excellent algae and detritus grazers. A well-planted tank with moss and hiding spots will support a thriving colony.
